Kitchen Design in Oro Valley

A considered design turns an Oro Valley production kitchen into one that belongs to its mountain setting.

Designed for Oro Valley

Local Context Shapes Every Decision.

We plan the layout to capture the Catalina views and the bright northern light these homes enjoy, then document finishes that elevate the space beyond its builder-grade origins — a complete plan you can build with us or take to your own contractor, HOA approvals and all.

What’s Included

A Complete, Considered Scope

01

Space planning

Production-built Oro Valley kitchens often share the same floor plan. We map work zones, clearances, and traffic around how you cook and live, correcting awkward corners, undersized islands, and blocked paths so the kitchen works for your household.

02

3D design + drawings

Photoreal 3D lets you see the kitchen before anything is ordered, including how new windows, taller cabinetry, or a reworked island will frame the Catalina views. It is the clearest way to compare options and settle decisions early.

03

Material + finish selection

Cabinetry, stone, tile, and hardware are chosen together and reviewed in your own light, including the bright northern light many Oro Valley homes enjoy. Selections are coordinated with flooring and adjacent rooms for a finished, cohesive look.

04

Documentation + budget

The drawing set includes dimensioned plans, elevations, lighting and electrical layouts, and a full finish schedule, precise enough to price and build from. An itemized budget range is included, and the documentation supports HOA review where it is needed.

Designing in Oro Valley

How an Oro Valley kitchen design comes together.

Many Oro Valley homes were built from a handful of floor plans. The design process is how yours moves beyond the builder version, with a layout, storage, and finishes that reflect the way you live and the setting outside your windows. Each decision is tested in 3D before it is final.

Discovery + measure.

We review what works and what doesn’t in your current kitchen, then measure the room and note builder details, plumbing, venting, and any HOA considerations.

Layout + 3D.

We develop layout options, from simple refinements to reworked walls, and refine the best one in plan, elevation, and photoreal 3D until it fits how you cook and gather.

Selections + documents.

Finishes are finalized and reviewed in your light, and the drawing set and itemized budget are completed, ready to build with us or take to your own contractor.

Selected Work

Beyond the builder layout.

In the Hydukovich kitchen, removing a dividing wall unified the kitchen and dining room, and a new cooktop wall with a teal subway backsplash gave the space a clear focal point. The same design thinking helps Oro Valley kitchens move past their original plans. Warm knotty-alder cabinetry ties the newly opened space together, so kitchen and dining now read as one room.

Oro Valley Questions

Kitchen design in Oro Valley.

Answers to questions Oro Valley homeowners ask most. If yours isn’t listed, bring it to your free consultation. We’re always glad to walk through the options for your own kitchen in person.

Do you work throughout Oro Valley?

Yes — Oro Valley and the surrounding Tucson metro are core to our practice, and we know the local trades, suppliers, and permitting.

How much does kitchen design cost in Oro Valley?

It depends on scope and finish level. We give every Oro Valley homeowner an honest, itemized budget range as part of the design phase — no vague ballparks.

Are you licensed and insured?

Fully licensed and insured in Arizona, and experienced with local inspection and HOA requirements common in Oro Valley.

How do we get started?

Book a free consultation. We’ll walk your Oro Valley home, talk through your goals, and outline a clear path and budget range.

Can you redesign a production-built kitchen?

Yes. We rework layout, storage, and finishes to move past the builder plan, often without moving exterior walls.

Can we remove a wall between the kitchen and dining room?

Often, yes. We evaluate structure and utilities first, then show you the result in 3D before you decide.

Do you plan kitchens around the views?

Yes. We consider window placement, sightlines, and island orientation so the kitchen takes advantage of the mountain views.

Does the design help with HOA approvals?

Where approval is needed, the drawings and finish schedule give the HOA clear documentation to review.

Can you design for aging in place?

Yes. Drawers instead of deep base cabinets, comfortable counter heights, and good task lighting can be built in without looking clinical.

Can we reuse our existing appliances?

Often. We measure what you have and design around it, or plan openings for new appliances you choose.

How long does kitchen design take?

It depends on scope and selections. We give you a realistic schedule at the start, with milestones for layout, 3D review, and final drawings.

Can we use the design with our own contractor?

Yes. The drawing set, finish schedule, and budget range are complete enough to price and build, whether we build it or you take it to your own contractor.

Can you add a larger island to a builder kitchen?

Often, yes. We test island sizes in 3D against clearances and traffic to find the largest one the room can comfortably hold.

How do you make a kitchen feel less builder-grade?

Better proportions, taller cabinetry, quality finishes, and thoughtful lighting make the biggest difference, and we show each in 3D.

Can the kitchen connect better to the patio?

Yes. We plan counters, doors, and circulation so serving to outdoor spaces is easy and the kitchen feels connected to the view.

Is lighting part of the design?

Yes. Ambient, task, and accent lighting are planned together, and a lighting and electrical layout is included in the drawing set.
