Bathroom Design
A bathroom design is only as good as what’s behind the tile. We plan waterproofing, ventilation, and drainage as carefully as the fixtures — so the calm you see is backed by details that hold up to daily Tucson use.
The Vision
Every decision made visible before the work begins.
You receive a coordinated design package with layouts, elevations, visualization, selections, and the documentation needed to price and build confidently.

What’s Included
A Complete, Considered Scope
01
Space planning
We start with how the room is used — who gets ready at the same time, where towels and toiletries need to live, and how you move between the shower, vanity, and closet. From there we set fixture locations, door swings, and clearances, and plan storage that fits real routines rather than leftover corners. When moving plumbing makes sense, we show you the tradeoffs before anything is decided.
02
3D design + drawings
Floor plans and elevations show exactly how the room fits together, and 3D views let you see tile layouts, stone, lighting, and mirror placement before you commit. Seeing the space from the doorway or the vanity makes decisions easier and catches issues — an awkward tile cut, a crowded corner — while they are still simple to change.
03
Material + finish selection
Tile, stone, plumbing fixtures, hardware, and lighting are chosen together as one palette rather than one item at a time. We review samples in your home, weigh how each surface handles water, heat, and daily cleaning, and confirm that sizes and finishes work with the layout. Every selection is recorded so nothing is left to guesswork on site.
04
Documentation + budget
The final package includes dimensioned drawings, a finish schedule, and the waterproofing, ventilation, and drainage details the trades need to build it correctly. It comes with an itemized budget priced from your actual selections — precise enough for our team or your own contractor to build from.
Every Kind of Bath
Bathrooms we design.
Each bathroom in a home asks something different. The design starts with who uses the room and how often. A primary suite, a shared hall bath, and a powder room each have their own priorities, and we plan every one with the same attention to layout, materials, and the details behind the walls.
Primary suites.
A primary bath is often the first and last room you use each day. We plan double vanities, separate wet zones, soaking tubs, and walk-in or curbless showers around two schedules, with storage, lighting, and privacy that make busy mornings calmer. See Garden Drive and Lucente for examples.
Guest and family baths.
Hall and guest baths work hard. Durable surfaces, practical storage, and fixtures that suit everyone from kids to visiting relatives keep these rooms easy to clean and easy to share. A well-planned tub-shower combination or a larger single vanity often does more than a bigger footprint.
Powder rooms.
A powder room is a chance to be bolder. With a small footprint and no shower to plan around, it can carry a statement vanity, wallcovering, or stone that would overwhelm a larger bath, while still fitting the character of the rest of the home.

Comfort now, and years from now.
Good bathroom design anticipates change. We can plan curbless entries, wider clearances, comfort-height fixtures, layered lighting, and blocking in the walls for future grab bars — details that are simple to include during design and costly to add later. A shower bench or handheld spray is a small worthwhile addition. For homeowners planning to stay put, these choices make the bath easier to use today and for years to come. Vanities and storage can also be built to fit through our custom bathroom cabinetry.

Good to Know
Bathroom design questions.
Answers to what homeowners ask most when planning a new bath. Have another question? Bring it to your free consultation.
What does a bathroom design package cover?
Fixture and storage layout, a waterproofing and ventilation approach, a tile and stone plan, lighting, and a finish schedule with an itemized budget — a complete set you can build from.
Can you make a small bathroom feel larger without moving walls?
Often, yes. Continuous flooring, a curbless shower, a larger mirror, and the right tile scale can make a compact bath read far more open before you touch the footprint.
How do you plan for Tucson’s hard water?
We select fixtures and finishes that tolerate mineral buildup and specify surfaces that clean easily — a practical detail that protects how the room looks over time.
Do you design curbless or walk-in showers?
Yes, and we resolve the slope, drainage, and waterproofing on paper first so the finished detail is both beautiful and sound.
Can the design match the rest of my home?
That’s the goal — we carry material and tone from adjoining rooms so the bath feels like part of the house, not a separate project.
Can I use the design with my own contractor?
Yes. The documentation package is detailed enough to price and build from, whether our team builds it or you bring your own contractor. Many clients choose our bathroom remodeling service so one team carries the design through.
Do you design custom vanities and storage?
Yes. Vanities, linen cabinets, and built-in storage can be designed around your plumbing, clearances, and daily routines, then built to the exact dimensions of the room.
Should I keep a tub or switch to a larger shower?
It depends on who uses the room. Many primary baths trade a rarely used tub for a larger walk-in shower, while a hall bath often keeps one for kids or guests. We look at how the whole house is used so no one loses a bath they need.
What keeps a tiled shower from leaking over time?
A continuous waterproofing membrane behind the tile, a properly sloped floor, and a drain sized to the shower. We detail each of these in the drawings so the installers work from a plan, not a guess.
Where should the budget go first?
Spend on what is hard to change later — waterproofing, plumbing locations, ventilation, and the shower itself. Mirrors, light fixtures, and hardware are easier to upgrade down the road if the budget needs to flex.
