Whole Home Remodeling

Remodeling a whole home is a logistics problem as much as a design one. We phase the work, protect the parts you’re still living in, and carry one team and one material language across every room until it’s done.

The Vision

The design vision stays connected through every day of construction.

Design, construction planning, trade coordination, and installation stay under one accountable team from demolition to the final walkthrough.

What’s Included

A Complete, Considered Scope

01

Phased sequencing

We divide the house into zones and build them in a planned order, so you can keep living in part of the home while work continues elsewhere. Active areas are sealed for dust and noise, and we flag the most disruptive weeks in advance.

02

Structural + systems

Wall removals, new openings, and lighting are planned together with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC changes. Structure is evaluated during design, licensed trades handle the systems, and required inspections are scheduled as part of the build, so nothing is improvised once walls are open.

03

One material language

Flooring, cabinetry, stone, tile, paint, and hardware are chosen as one palette and installed consistently in every room. Trim profiles, grout colors, and hardware finishes repeat with intention, so the finished home feels connected instead of pieced together over time.

04

Single accountable team

One team owns the design, the schedule, and the quality of every trade from demolition to the final walkthrough. When a question comes up on site, the people who drew the plan are the ones who answer it, and you always know who is responsible.

The Remodeling Process

How a whole-home remodel comes together.

A whole-home remodel touches most rooms and nearly every trade, so planning matters as much as craftsmanship. Our process settles the design and the sequence before demolition begins, then moves the house through construction zone by zone.

Plan + sequence.

The full design is documented, priced, and broken into phases. We map which rooms are built first, where you will live during each stage, and how materials and trades will move through the house.

Build + coordinate.

Demolition, framing, systems, and finishes proceed zone by zone. One team schedules the trades, protects the occupied areas, and keeps each phase aligned with the approved drawings and selections.

Finish + walk through.

Each phase ends with a detailed walkthrough and punch list. When the final zone is complete, we review the whole house with you so every room is finished to the same standard.

Selected Work

Two rooms that now work as one.

In the Hydukovich home in Tucson, the wall between the kitchen and dining room came out, and the two spaces were rebuilt as one. Two-tone knotty alder, a weathered-teal tile backsplash, and marble-look quartz counters now carry across the open plan.

Whole Home Questions

Whole-home remodeling, answered.

Answers for homeowners planning to remodel several rooms at once. If yours isn’t listed, bring it to your free consultation.

Can we live in the house during a whole-home remodel?

Usually, yes. We phase the work and seal off active zones so you can stay in part of the home, and we’re clear about the periods that are most disruptive.

How do you keep a large project from drifting?

One team owns the whole job, working from a fully documented design and a phased schedule — so there are no gaps between designer, drafter, and builder for the project to slip through.

Do you coordinate structural and mechanical work?

Yes. Walls, light, electrical, and plumbing are resolved together in design, and we manage the licensed trades and inspections through the build.

Will the rooms feel connected when it’s done?

That’s the point of doing it as one project — we carry a single material language across the home so it reads as one considered place.

Can a whole-home remodel be done in stages?

Absolutely. We’ll design the full vision and build it in a sequence that fits your budget and timeline without wasting earlier work.

How long does a whole-home remodel take?

It depends on the number of rooms, the structural and systems work involved, and product lead times. We give you a realistic phased schedule before construction begins and update it as work moves forward.

Where do we cook while the kitchen is under construction?

When the kitchen is in an active phase, we help you plan a temporary setup elsewhere in the house and schedule the kitchen work to keep that period as short as practical.

How do you protect the rooms we’re living in?

Active zones are sealed with dust barriers, floors and finished areas are covered, and work paths are planned so trades pass through occupied rooms as little as possible.

Do we need to move out at any point?

Sometimes, for a short period, if work affects your only bathroom, major systems, or most of the floor at once. We identify those stages during planning so you can prepare in advance.

Who handles permits and inspections?

We do. Permits are pulled for the work that requires them, and inspections are scheduled as part of the construction plan so they don’t hold up the next phase.

What if we find problems behind the walls?

Older wiring, plumbing, or framing issues are reviewed as soon as they are uncovered. We explain the options and the cost before any change is made to the plan.

How are changes handled during construction?

Any change is reviewed against the design, priced, and approved by you before work proceeds, so the budget and schedule stay clear from start to finish.

Can you work with our existing floors or cabinets?

Often. Finishes in good condition can stay, and we plan the new work to meet them cleanly. If something needs to go, we explain why during design.

How do you keep the budget on track across phases?

Each phase is priced from the documented design, and we review costs with you as each phase wraps up, before the next one begins.

How should we prepare for the first phase?

Clear the rooms in the first zone, set aside valuables, and plan where pets and daily routines will move. We walk through the plan with you before work begins.
