The Details
What goes into custom cabinetry.
Custom cabinetry is more than a door style. The quality you feel every day comes from decisions made inside the box, behind the doors, and at the edges where cabinets meet walls, floors, and ceilings. Those details are what separate cabinetry that simply looks good from cabinetry that works beautifully.
Construction.
Box materials, joinery, and drawer construction are specified for how each cabinet will be used, so heavily loaded drawers and busy doors keep working smoothly for years.
Interiors.
Pull-outs, dividers, spice and utensil inserts, and adjustable shelving are planned around what you store, putting everyday items within easy reach.
Finishes.
Paint, stain, and wood species are reviewed in your home’s light, and finish systems are chosen for durability in kitchens, baths, and high-traffic rooms.
Hardware + fit.
Hinges, slides, and pulls are selected for feel as well as look, and filler, scribe, and trim details make the cabinetry look truly built into the room.

Made for the desert.
Tucson’s dry air and seasonal swings in humidity cause wood to move. We account for that in material choices, panel construction, and finish, and allow proper clearances at installation so doors stay aligned and joints stay tight. The Tobey pantry shows how thoughtful pull-out interiors make every inch of storage useful.

The Process
A Clear Path from Idea to Completion.
01
Listen
We learn how you live, what you store, and what each room needs to do, then measure the space carefully so the design starts from real dimensions.
02
Develop
Layout, storage, materials, and light take shape together through drawings and elevations, so door styles, wood species, and hardware are chosen in context.
03
Document
Plans, selections, and budget become one coordinated package, with every cabinet, finish, and interior fitting specified before anything is ordered.
04
Deliver
The approved vision moves into construction or fabrication, followed by careful installation, scribing to walls, and a final adjustment of doors and drawers.
Cabinetry Questions
Custom cabinetry, answered.
Common questions before a cabinetry project begins. If yours isn’t here, bring it to your free consultation.
What is the difference between custom and semi-custom cabinets?
Semi-custom cabinets come in set sizes with limited options. Custom cabinetry is designed for your exact space, so sizes, interiors, finishes, and details are all specified for the room.
Can custom cabinets fit an older home with uneven walls?
Yes. Cabinetry is measured on site and scribed at installation to account for out-of-square walls and uneven floors, so it looks built in.
Can you match existing cabinetry or trim?
Often, yes. We can match door profiles, finishes, and trim details so new cabinetry blends with the rest of the house.
How long does custom cabinetry take?
It depends on scope and selections. Once the design and finishes are approved, we give you a realistic schedule for fabrication and installation.
Do you design cabinetry for rooms beyond kitchens and baths?
Yes. Offices, media walls, bars, closets, laundry rooms, and mudrooms all benefit from cabinetry planned for the space.
Can cabinetry be part of a larger remodel?
Yes. Cabinetry is often designed alongside a kitchen, bath, or whole-home remodel, so layout, lighting, and finishes are coordinated from the start.
Can we keep our existing cabinets?
Sometimes. If the boxes are sound, refinishing or reconfiguring them may work. We will tell you plainly when new cabinetry is the better investment.
What affects the cost of custom cabinetry?
Size, materials, finishes, and interior fittings all play a role. We provide an itemized budget range during design so there are no surprises later.
