01

Getting Started

Consultations, service areas, and what to expect before your first conversation.

How do I get started?

Book a free consultation online or call the studio at 520-354-2136. Tell us a little about your home, your project, and your timing, and we will reach out within one business day to schedule a time to talk.

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. We’ll talk through your goals, look at your space, and outline a realistic path and budget range — with no obligation.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes. We are happy to meet on site so we can walk the space together, or virtually if that is more convenient. Either way, we will talk through your goals, look at what is and is not working, and outline a realistic path forward.

What should I bring to my first meeting?

A few photos or saved ideas of spaces you love, a rough sense of your budget and timing, and notes on what frustrates you about the current room are all helpful. If you have existing plans, measurements, or HOA guidelines, bring those too.

Can I visit your design studio?

Absolutely. Our studio is at 5635 E River Rd #111 in Tucson. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 to 4, and closed Saturday and Sunday.

Where do you work?

Throughout the Tucson metro: central Tucson, Oro Valley, Catalina Foothills, Dove Mountain, and Marana.

What services does Living Space Designs offer?

We are a kitchen and bath design studio in Tucson offering kitchen design, bathroom design, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, whole-home remodeling, and custom cabinetry, including built-ins, vanities, and custom storage solutions.

Do you only work on kitchens and bathrooms?

Kitchens and baths are our specialty, but we also design whole-home remodels and custom cabinetry throughout the house, including entertainment centers, vanities, and built-in storage that ties each room together.

02

Design & Budget

How we plan, document, and price your new kitchen, bath, or whole home.

Do you handle both design and construction?

Yes. We are a complete studio — we design, document, and build, so the same team is accountable from the first sketch through final installation. You can also engage us for design only.

What does your design process look like?

Every project follows the same five steps: Discovery, where we learn your goals, style, and budget; Design, where we create a plan and material selections; Refine, where we fine-tune every detail together; Build, where our trusted team brings the design to life; and Enjoy. See our full process.

How long does the design phase take?

Most kitchen designs take several weeks from measure to a complete, budgeted set — we’ll give you a specific timeline after the consultation.

What is included in a design package?

A complete, documented design with material and finish selections, photoreal 3D renderings so you can review the room before anything is ordered, and an itemized budget range. The package is detailed enough to price and build from, whether we build it or you bring your own team.

Will I see the space before committing to finishes?

Yes — we produce photoreal 3D so you can walk the room and review every material in your own light before anything is ordered.

Do you provide a budget with the design?

Always. An honest, itemized budget range is part of the deliverable, not an afterthought.

What budget range do you work with?

We work on projects of many sizes, from a single bathroom refresh to a whole-home transformation. Your free consultation is the best place to talk through budget, and we will give you an honest range before design begins so there are no surprises later.

Will my kitchen or bathroom design feel dated in a few years?

We design for how you live rather than chasing trends. Thoughtful layouts, quality materials, and timeless finishes chosen to hold up in bright desert light help your space feel fresh and function beautifully for years to come.

Can you work with my existing layout?

Yes. Some projects keep the current footprint and focus on cabinetry, surfaces, and lighting, while others move walls or plumbing to improve flow. We will walk you through the options and trade-offs so you can choose what makes sense for your home and budget.

Can I use my own contractor with your design?

Absolutely. Our documentation package is precise enough to price and build from, whether we build it or you bring your own team.

03

Construction & Scheduling

What happens on site, from permits and scheduling to the final walkthrough.

Do you handle demolition and construction, or just design?

Both. The same studio that designs your kitchen project manages demolition, trades, and installation — one accountable team from start to finish.

How long does a project take?

It varies by scope. After the measure and design phases we give you an honest schedule, and because one team runs the job, that schedule tends to hold.

How accurate is the schedule?

Because one team runs the job and the design is fully documented before we build, our schedules tend to hold. Surprises are the exception, not the plan.

Can I stay in my home during the remodel?

Usually, yes. We phase the work and protect the spaces you’re still using, and we’ll be upfront about the times that are most disruptive.

How do you keep a remodel organized?

One accountable team manages your project from the first sketch through final installation. Because the design is fully documented before construction starts, trades know exactly what to build, and we keep you updated on progress, schedule, and decisions along the way, so you always know what comes next.

What about permits and inspections?

We are fully licensed and insured in Arizona and familiar with local inspectors and permitting across the Tucson metro. During design we explain what your project requires, so permits and inspections are planned for from the start instead of becoming surprises.

Are you licensed and insured in Arizona?

Yes — fully licensed and insured, and familiar with local inspectors and permitting across the Tucson metro.

04

Custom Cabinetry

Materials, finishes, and installation for cabinetry built around the way you live.

What makes custom cabinets worth it over stock?

Custom cabinetry uses every inch of your room, puts storage exactly where you reach, and is built and finished to last far longer than stock boxes — no fillers, no compromises.

What species and finishes can I choose?

Rift and quarter-sawn oak, walnut, painted finishes, and more — we’ll help you choose one that suits the room and holds up in desert light.

Do you install what you build?

Yes. Our own crew sets the cabinetry level and tight, so the finished install matches the drawing.

Can cabinets be part of a full remodel?

Absolutely — cabinetry is often the backbone of our kitchen, bath, and whole-home projects, coordinated with everything else on site.
