Design & Remodeling in Catalina Foothills
The Foothills are Tucson’s address for architecture — hillside custom homes where finish level and detailing are the whole point.
The Neighborhood
A Local Approach to Catalina Foothills Homes.
Foothills projects demand the highest execution: honed stone, custom cabinetry, integrated lighting, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions. We design to that standard and manage the trades who can deliver it, on homes where the view is the client’s biggest asset.

Foothills Priorities
Designed around the view.
Foothills homes are custom from the ground up, so every remodel starts with architecture that is already worth respecting. We plan new rooms around sightlines, hillside grades, and the level of finish these homes were built to carry. Each decision is measured against the setting, from the mountains above to the city lights below.

Finish and detail.
Honed stone, integrated lighting, and range walls composed like architecture. We specify materials that stand up to close inspection and coordinate trades who can install them to a custom-home standard.

Baths as retreats.
Primary baths planned around privacy, natural light, and calm materials, with walk-in showers, soaking tubs, and storage that keeps counters clear. Finishes are chosen to age well in dry desert air.

Custom millwork.
Cabinetry built to fit angled walls, long runs of glass, and irregular rooms, with interiors organized around what you store. Wood species and stains are selected to sit comfortably beside existing trim.

Working on the Hillside
Custom homes, careful process.
Many Foothills homes sit on sloped lots with long driveways and little room for staging. We plan deliveries, surface protection, and trade scheduling before work begins, so the site stays organized and the rest of the house stays livable. Design decisions are settled in drawings and photoreal 3D first, which keeps changes on paper instead of on the job and protects the finish level the home was built to. The finished rooms should look as though they were part of the original build.

Catalina Foothills Questions
Good to know.
Straight answers for Foothills homeowners planning a kitchen, bath, or whole-home project. Anything else can be covered at your consultation.
Do you work throughout Catalina Foothills?
Yes — Catalina Foothills and the surrounding Tucson metro are core to our practice, and we know the local trades, suppliers, and permitting.
What does a project in Catalina Foothills cost?
It depends on scope and finish level. We give every Catalina Foothills homeowner an honest, itemized budget range as part of the design phase — no vague ballparks.
Are you licensed and insured?
Fully licensed and insured in Arizona, and experienced with local inspection and HOA requirements common in Catalina Foothills.
Can you match the original architecture of our home?
Yes. We study the existing trim, openings, and materials, then design new rooms that feel like they were always part of the house, whether its style is territorial, contemporary, or Santa Fe.
Do you plan around HOA and architectural review?
Many Foothills neighborhoods have design guidelines. We plan around them from the start and prepare the drawings and selections your review process asks for.
How do you handle work on hillside lots?
We plan access, material staging, and protection for driveways and landscaping before work begins, so deliveries and trades move efficiently on sloped sites.
How long does a Foothills kitchen remodel take?
It depends on scope and on lead times for custom cabinetry and stone. We give you a realistic schedule during design, with milestones for selections, ordering, and construction.
Can we see finishes before committing?
Yes. Stone, tile, wood, and hardware samples are reviewed together before anything is ordered, so the palette is settled as a whole rather than piece by piece.
Can we keep the view while updating the kitchen?
Usually. Layouts are planned to keep windows clear, with tall storage and appliances placed on interior walls so the view stays the focus of the room.
Do you work with high-end appliances and materials?
Yes. We design around professional-style ranges, integrated refrigeration, natural stone, and custom hardware, and we confirm clearances and specifications before anything is ordered.
Do you design around existing art and furniture?
Yes. We measure the pieces you plan to keep and plan walls, lighting, and storage around them, so collections and heirlooms have a proper place in the new rooms.
